Vadim Rudenko

About the Artist

Vadim Rudenko was born in Krasnodar. Although there were no musicians in the family, he started to play the piano at the age of four years old. When he was only seven years old, Vadim gave his first concert.

In 1975 he entered the Central Musical School in Moscow and already in 1982 Vadim became a Laureate of the International competition “Concertino Prague”. His teachers were Anna Artobolevskaya, Vadim Sukhanov and Professor Dmitry Bashkirov.

In 1989 he entered the Moscow Conservatoire in the class of Professor Sergei Dorensky, and graduated from there in 1994. In 1996, he received his Master’s degree at the same Conservatoire.

During this period the young pianist became a Laureate of Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition (Belgium), Paloma O“Shea Piano Competition in Santander (Spain), and winner of the International “G.B. Viotti” Competition in Vercelli (Italy). Twice he became a Laureate of the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition (third prize in 1994, and second prize in 1998)

Since that time, Vadim has been touring extensively and given concerts in Russia and abroad, where he played with the most famous orchestras, such as the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra, the State Symphony Orchestra, the St.Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra , Amsterdam-Concertgebouw-Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Munchner Sinfoniker, WDR Sinfonieorchester Koln, Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Orchester der Beethovenhalle Bonn, Dusseldorfer Symphoniker, Wiener Kammerorchester, Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg, Orchestre National de Belgique, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI Torino, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra , Leeds Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre de l“Opera National de Lyon, Orquesta Sinfonica de Madrid, Orquesta Sinfonica de Barcelona, Orquesta Sinfonica de Radio Televisi? He has performed with Vladimir Fedosejev, Evgeny Svetlanov, Yury Temirkanov, Yury Simonov, Andrei Boreiko, Nikolay Alekseev, Mark Gorinstein, Alexander Vedernikov, S. Sondetskis, Dmitry Liss, Vasily Sinaisky, Marek Janowski, Veronika Dudarova, Vladimir Ponjkin, Eri Klaas, Sergiu Comissiona, Arnold Katz, Philipp Entremont, Mikhail Pletnev, Yury Bashmet, Gintaras Rinkyavichus, Ion Marin, and many others.

Vadim has given concerts in Europe, USA, Canada, South America, Asia in such concert halls as: “Conservatoria Verdi” (Milano), “Tonhalle” (Zurich), “Auditoria Nacionale” (Madrid), “Osaka Simphony Hall” (Osaka), “Palais des Beaux Arts” (Brussels), “Concertgebouw” (Amsterdam), “Great Hall of Moscow Conservatoire”, “Mozarteum” (Salzburg), “Great Hall of St. Petersburg Philharmonia” “Salle Gaveau” (Paris), Great Hall of “Cologne Philharmonia”, “De Doelen” (Rotterdam), “Gasteig” (Munich), Great Hall of “Berliner Philharmonia”“Sala Sao Paolo” (Sao Paolo), “Herkules Saal” (Munich), “Suntori Hall” (Tokyo), “Seoul Art Center” (Seoul),“Teatro Teresa Carreno” (Caracas), “Metropolitan Art Space Concert Hall” (Tokyo), “Rudolfinum” (Prague), “Theatre du Chatelet” (Paris), “Kultur – und Kongresszentrum Luzern” (Lucerne) and many others.

He record some solo CDs and CDs in ensembles with other artists. Since 1995 he plays regularly in duo with N. Lugansky.

Vadim took part in international music festivals, like: “Musik Sommer Gstaad Saanenland” (Swizerland),“Carinthischer Sommer” (Austria), “La Roque d“Antheron” (France), “Klavier – Festival Ruhr” (Germany), Risor Festival of Chamber Music (Norway), “Mozarteum” (Austria), The Newport music festival (USA), “Crescendo” (Moscow), Montreal International Music Festival (Montreal), Ohrid Music Festival (Macedonia), Fondazione Lugano Festival (Swizerland), “Folle Journee” (France) etc.

His recordings, made by lables such as Meldoc (Japan), Pavan-records (Belgium) and others were highly appreciated by the musical press of many countries.
