Jongdo An
ARTIST’S WEBSITE

Jongdo An was born in South Korea in 1986. He studied at Austria’s Mozarteum University of Salzburg, where he received bachelor’s, master’s and postgraduate degrees with the highest honor. He moved to Hamburg, earning a ‘Konzertexamen’ degree with highest honor. After winning the prestigious Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Piano Competition 2012 in Paris (Concert with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France) and the Prix SAS le Prince Albert II de Monaco, Mr. An began a world concert tour, performing in such respected venues as Salle Gaveau, Paris, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Grand Hall “D. Shostakovich” in St. Petersburg, Russia. He has been soloist with renowned orchestras including Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, and Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg.

He is a regular guest at leading international festivals including the Salzburg Summer Festival, G. Enescu Music Festival (Bucharest), Musical Olympus Festival (St. Petersburg), Les Pianos Folies du Touquet (France), Festival Musique au Coeur du Médoc (Bordeaux), and Meissen Pianoforte Festival (Dresden, Germany). He has recorded for Sony Music and NDR Germany.
