*Robert Taub* is an internationally acclaimed leader in the new generation of virtuoso pianists. Since his debut in 1981 he has performed with most of the major orchestras of the world. He was appointed Artist-in-Residence at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton in 1994, becoming the first musician to be so recognized in the institute’s 65 year history.
He has recorded the complete cycle of Beethoven Sonatas and Sonatas of Scriabin.
Many other recordings of Schumann, Liszt and Babbitt have been selected as “critic’s favorites” by Newsweek, The NY Times, Washington Post and Grammophone.
A graduate of Princeton where he was a University Scholar. He completed his doctoral degree at Juilliard School as a Danforth Fellow where he also received the highest award for piano. He has given lectures and masterclasses at such renowned institutions such as Harvard University, Rutgers, Oxford and Cambridge Universities as well as the Juilliard School.
