Welcome to our 30th Season! We are so honored to celebrate 30 years of concerts and community engagement in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we can’t wait to welcome six of the world’s finest concert pianists to the Steinway Society stage to play for you. Each enjoys a high-profile reputation internationally, has performed in prestigious venues worldwide, and has won multiple prizes at the world’s most demanding competitions. Every artist is sure to deliver a compelling performance.
Steinway Society favorites Anna Fedorova, Vyacheslav Gryaznov, Zlata Chochieva, and Alexander Kobrin are returning to help celebrate our anniversary season. We are also thrilled to present first-time Steinway Society performers including the global phenomenon Alexander Malofeev and distinguished Belgian pianist Florian Noack. We look forward to another season of memorable experiences that showcase the brilliant and virtuosic musicianship you have come to expect from our artists.
Expect a few twists this season, including a “Rachmaninoff Meets High-Tech” concerto evening, in which Vyacheslav Gryaznov will perform three Rachmaninoff concertos accompanied by a full digital orchestra that he programmed after teaching himself to code the software—a first on our stage! We’ll also sprinkle the season with some special festive programming such as a kid-friendly family night, an in-home salon or two, and opportunities to remember, rejoice, and engage.
We know that you return year after year because there is nothing like the joy of experiencing the best in live classical music—right in your own backyard! We are so grateful for your patronage. But I must also share with you that our organization cannot and will not continue without your support. Like many other small arts organizations in the wake of the pandemic, we are questioning our ability to thrive in the future. The arts are central to learning, flourishing, caring, and connecting–all elements at the root of our deepest humanity.
We ask that you join us, share the experience with your family and friends, and support the vital work of this organization so that it can continue contributing to the richness of our community.
Please remember Steinway Society in your charitable and arts giving. We greatly appreciate your support, and we know that you will love the life-enriching performances by world-class pianists that your donations make possible.
